The 5 winners of Next Stage Sustainability Bootcamp
In July 2022 we worked closely with the talented founders of 12 early-stage startups, from across Greece, who work on important challenges of sustainable development.
Next Stage Sustainability Bootcamp was an intensive program of training, mentoring and networking that took place at the premises of Alexander Innovation Zone, in Thessaloniki, with the support of Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom – Greece.
Ideas Forward offered training on business model development, risk identification, validation strategy, experiment design and effective pitching. In parallel, a stellar line-up of invited speakers from Greece and abroad touched on key themes of global sustainability and impact investing.
The bootcamp culminated with a pitching event where the teams presented their work and shared prizes worth over €10,000.
The five teams ranking highest on the judges’ scorecard were:
- Agro-U: Marketplace connecting farmers to farm workers
- TB-Scan: Fast and low-cost detection of Tuberculosis
- Neurohive: Improving health and productivity of farm animals
- Project DENN: Helping journalists prevent fake news
- ctrlEat: Supporting conscious food choices in hospitality
